Tomato Seed saving

Gardeners Delight

Tomato plants are annuals but in just 3 simple steps you can save the seeds to ensure you can grow more delicious tomatoes for the next growing season.

What you will need

Sharp knife

Piece of kitchen towel

1. Carefully cut open 1 or more tomatoes onto a piece of kitchen towel.

2. Scrape the seeds onto the kitchen towel using a knife.

3. Fold over the kitchen towel once and leave it to dry. Once, dry, fold the kitchen towel over a few times and pop it into an envelope. Make sure to write the tomato variety on the envelop so you know what the seeds are when it comes to sowing.
