Thyme Tea

The Romans brewed Thyme as a tea to help cure nasty coughs and aid digestion. It was also thought that Thyme would protect against poison, by eating the herb before or after a meal.

Thyme tea can also help boost the immune system and keeps healthy bacteria in balance.

What you will need

  • 2x sprigs fresh thyme
  • boiling water
  • lemon, lime or honey


  1. Pour boiling water into a cup and add 2 sprigs of fresh thyme
  2. Let it steep for up to 10 minutes
  3. Strain leaves and add a tsp of honey or a slice of lemon or lime
