Spiced Olive Oil
Chilli oil is the perfect addition to pizza, as drizzle on a salad or a dip for breads.
What you will need
- 1 tsp chilli flakes
- 2 whole serrano chillies
- 250ml olive oil
- 1 Bay leaf
- Clean bottle or jar
- Place the chilli flakes, serrano chillies and olive oil in a saucepan.
- Gently heat until hot, but not boiling, about 5 minutes.
- Add the bay leaf and let the oil cool.
- Pour into a clean bottle or jam jar.
The oil can be strained, or for maximum heat and decoration leave the chillies and herbs in the jar.
