How To Make A Simple Syrup

What you will need

  • 200ml water
  • 200g of sugar
  • Freshly picked herbs
  • Clean jar


  1. Stir the sugar into water and warm over a low heat, stirring regularly until all the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Turn off the heat and add a large handful of freshly picked herbs. Leave to rest until cool.
  3. Strain out the herbs as you pour the syrup into a clean glass jar and chill for at least 2 hours in the fridge before serving.

Store in the fridge for up to 6 weeks.
